FAQ
Everything you need to know, in one place.
Answers to the questions I get asked most about pricing, plans and how I build your site. If yours isn't here, get in touch and I'll reply within 24 hours.
How long does the monthly plan last?
The monthly plan has a 6-month minimum. After that it carries on month to month, and you can cancel at any time.
What happens if I cancel before the 6 months is up?
If you cancel before the 6 months is up, you'll owe the full cost of the site, which is £1,500. Anything you've already paid counts towards that total.
I value long-term relationships with my clients.
If I cancel and want to come back, what happens?
You're always welcome back. You'd just start a new monthly plan with a new 6-month minimum.
Is the £50 per extra page a one-off or monthly?
It's a one-off fee. Every plan includes 5 pages, and each page after that is £50, paid once. So 3 extra pages is £150 in total, not £150 a month.
How do I pay?
You'll receive an invoice by email with a link to a secure page where you can add your payment details.
Monthly payments are made by credit or debit card, and one-off payments by bank transfer. I don't accept cheques or cash.
What happens if a payment is late?
[Late payment policy, for example: every invoice has a 7-day grace period. After that a late fee of £[amount] is added.] I understand things come up, so if you're struggling, just let me know and we'll work something out.
What if I want a refund?
If you decide I can't create what you're looking for, and the site hasn't been built yet, you're entitled to a full refund.
If we've agreed to go ahead with the build and you then ask for a refund, I'm not obliged to provide one.
What's the difference between the monthly plan and paying one-off?
The monthly plan is £150 a month with £0 upfront. It covers the design, the build, hosting, unlimited edits, support whenever you need it, and lifetime updates.
The one-off option is £1,500 for the site, plus £20 a month for hosting. Edits aren't included, but you can add them for £50 a month.
Which one to choose depends entirely on your cash flow. If you're happy to pay upfront and get it out of the way, you'll save more money in the long run. If you don't have room for a larger expense right now, go with the monthly plan. It's about what works for your short-term and long-term goals.
After the 6-month term is up, can I buy the rest of the site?
Unfortunately not. I don't offer a buyout price to stop paying on the monthly plan. Working this way means I can give my current clients the best experience possible, because all my focus can go on design and creation.
Can I add unlimited edits to the one-off plan?
Yes. The ongoing edits add-on is £50 a month and gives you unlimited edits and support, just like the monthly plan.
What kind of SEO is included in your packages?
I only offer on-page SEO, which is everything on your site itself, like the content and load speeds.
Off-page SEO is a different service altogether, and it isn't included in either plan. It covers things like link building, guest posting and citations. For an additional fee, I can arrange for someone to do this for you.
Do you include e-commerce stores in your plans?
No. At the moment, I don't offer e-commerce stores on either the one-off or the monthly plan.
How long does it take to build my site?
It depends on how soon you can send over your images and information, and on the availability of SEO experts if you've opted for off-page SEO.
Generally, you can expect your site to be handed over within a week.
What do I need to provide?
Just a short questionnaire about your business: what you do, what makes you different and the services you offer. Your logo and any photos you'd like to use help too. If you don't have them, we'll work something out.
Do you use WordPress or page builders?
No. Every site I build is hand-coded, line by line. No WordPress, no drag-and-drop builders and no plugins.
Why custom code over WordPress?
Speed, security and no maintenance headaches. There's no database and no plugins, so there's far less for hackers to target and no constant updates to keep on top of. Without all the extra code, your site loads faster too, which helps with Google and with turning visitors into enquiries.
Do I keep my site if I cancel the monthly plan?
No, but you keep your domain and assets.
Do I own my domain?
Yes, always. Your domain name is yours, even if I set it up for you.
How do I request changes to my site?
Just email me at aicwdinfo@gmail.com or call 07596 713898. I reply to every message within 24 hours.
